  1. Well where did the six weeks go, we have all enjoyed the classes. Jules, Daz and Steve train you and the dogs in a way that emphasises that anything can be achieved. Tahnee is a diva and a loon, but we know she loves this training experience.

Its so refreshing that ALL the other dogs in the class whatever their needs have all come along way in this beginners class too. I would reccomend this club to my friends.

  2. Oh my word, I can't believe it. Roo has passes the beginners class tonight and is now onto the really serious stuff. THE intermediate SESSION!!!!!!!!!! How cool, I nevee thought she would ever get from the beginners but the guys have taught her well. In just 6 weeks she has manners. Thanks and see you next week. Looking forward to the new challenges. It must have been the jumping trick that swung it for her in the end. She is just too clever!

Lindsey and Roo. Check the spelling today for intermediate. I copy and pasted from google!

  3. Lindsey and Roo

I would like to thank everyone at the K9 club for the fantastic achievements that my rescue dog Roo has made in the last 5 weeks of training.

I have had my collie for 2 1/2 years and she was a nevous wreck due to previous mistreatment. This left her with lack of confidence and scared of people and commands. The K9 club has not only taught her manners and obidience but also has dramatically enabled her to increase in confidence around other dogs, people and men, of which she used to be particulary nervous. The staff here have patience, understanding and an excellent knowledge of dog psychology. I cannot thank you all enough and will continue to bring Roo to training until she achieves all the awards she can get at the different levels.

I am glad I went to the Kennel Club Stand at Crufts in Birmingham because it was them who put me intouch with you. You are full of true professionalism until the end and Roo get very excited when I get her out of the car. I also enjoy the night out ( I don't get out that often lol)

Thanks guys. A very appreciative customer. I will advise everyone to give it a go. Brill!!!!

  4. hello all

  5. lucy is we think a staffie cross rodeigian ridgeback and at first she was extremely hyper and not trained at all but after the first few weeks we started to notice a difference in her behaviour she was actually leaving dropped food when we told her to :O . now after her first 6 weeks she is alot better but still has to repeat the beginner class which is alright to be fair because it means she just that little bit better at the things. At the moment after 8 weeks she can down stay for over a minute and sit stay for around 40 to 50 seconds. she can walk to hell quite well and do the puppy recall across the room which we were worried about at first taking her to K9 classes was the best thing for her especially when she walks through the door and sees steve he is her favourite she loves him he has worked with me since about the 3rd week and has really helped me so thanks steve jules and daz for helping bring lucy under control.

  6. I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you from both myself and Lady, my crazy little beagle. If anyone wants a dog training school that is friendly, makes you feel welcome and most fun, come here! Lady is a tinker, but a tinker that sits and comes when asks and we both thank you so much. We have become very close and bonded well. Everybody should bring their pups here and train them properly. Highly recommended :) Keep up the good work! Emily and Lady x

  7. Max and I would like to thank all the trainers who helped us over the 6 weeks, he is now a different dog ( but still has an attitude ). It was an amazing experience which I will take with me every where I go, I only wish I could take to higher class. If your looking for a dog school these are the guys, friendly, experienced and always there to help. Speak to you soon Max and Bobby :O)

  8. Well just want to say a BIG BIG thanks to you all at K9 for helping me and my mad problem dog , i feel more confident now , and will keep practicing all you have taught me over the last few weeks , and will recomend you to all dog owners i know . thanks to all once again for everything

DAWN AND GILBERT ( MAD LABRADOR )

  9. Last night was our final night (week6) of completing the beginners course with Blade, our 9 month old dalmatian.

Can we say a big thankyou to Jules, Daz, Carol and Steve, and all the other trainers, who have helped no end over the last 6 weeks and made training enjoyable! I would highly, highly recommend the K9 club to anybody who maybe reading this and thinking is it for me? They make it right for everybody!!!!

I personally felt that as much as training Blade, it has trained myself, as I have learnt how what I do or say can affect Blade's behaviour...and I have also learnt how to groom him easily without having a fight with the brush every day and him thinking its a toy! So big thanks Jules for that one....!!!!

Thanks as well to Carol for pointing us in the right direction re our check chain, as we had bought completely the wrong one for Blade, which Carol had 'spotted' and gave good advice on what we should be looking for! So not only does the K9 club offer training advice, they also help with the wellbeing of your dog, and help with purchasing the correct equipment! On changing the check chain, I noticed a difference in the handling and the feel down the lead, and realised it had been hindering my handling of Blade!

We can see a big difference since the start of training to how Blade behaves around the house, and we are using the training into our every day patterns, which is making Blade a true pleasure to be with....although being a dalamatian he still has his fun, crazy side...we just know more on how to control it! ha ha

We are now off on holiday to Bournemouth with Blade, and again want to say big thanks to everybody, as we feel confident that we shall enjoy our holiday, and have fun!

  10. I wanted to add a comment here and feel that its appropriate and right to do so even though technically we have only been to 3 lessons so far!

We have 3 three labradors (2 pups and their mum) and have been to training with previous dogs we have owned. I cannot fault in any way the professionalism and dedication shown by Jewls and Daz from K9.

Right from the get go it was clear that the level of input shown for our dogs is superb. One of my dogs is a bit tricky for reasons only known to her at this point but the level of support given to me and Tink has been excellent.

I would thoroughly recommend K9 dog training to anyone with a pup or older dog that needs reminding! What an tremendous team to have locally!

Keep up the good work guys! Many thansk for all your help and support!, Kind regards from K, Holly, Jasper and Tinkerbelle!

  11. We would just like to say a huge thank you to Daz, Jules & the team at The K9 Club for all their help and advice.

When we first joined the classes 10 weeks ago, we honestly thought there wasn't any hope for our devil dog (jess).

Jess was an absolute nightmare, she didn't appear to listen to our commands and was completely unruly, but the guys at K9 soon showed us that our devil dog was not so devilish. Within the first few weeks of training we noticed a significant change in jess' behaviour, which to date has improved considerably. Although we still have a way to go, we are more than happy with the improvement jess has made, but also with our handling skills.

The course as a whole is very informative, covering animal welfare and good nutritional advice as well as dog training & handling skills.

We would most definately recommend The K9 Club to anyone looking for guidance in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Thanks again - see you next week

    Nic,Chris & Jess

  12. Started the beginners class last night & had a really good time, everyone was really helpful & I liked the way the instructers kept moving positions & were in constant support. Looking forward to next week & perhaps Jake might realise a bit more that it is class time not a dog creche.

  13. I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the K9 Club instructors (not forgetting the younger girls who are training to become instructors) for their patience, guidence, understanding, knowledge and hard work. They offer all this to everyone who attends their classes. No problem is ever too big or small for them and you are never left feeling inadequate for asking 'silly questions'. They not only offer you advice on your dog handling skills, but on all aspects of dog welfare, from feeding and exercise to having the correct lead and grooming equipment. 'Passionate' is the word that I think best sums up Daz and Jules, and their eagerness to promote a 'good press' for our canine friends by giving us the knowledge to train our dogs to be well behaved in society is important to them.

You get over and above what you pay for with this training club as Daz and Jules are never off duty. They are very generouse with their time and once, when I happend to bump into them at a market, Daz promptly took control of my five month old very willfull german shepherd bitch, walked off with her, did some training then came back with another dog, or so it seemed, as her behaviour had dramaticaly changed. They offered me some advice and I walked through the crowds feeling proud at the comments I was getting from people about my well behaved dog (thanks Daz).

Poppy and I are looking forward to starting the next class. Thanks for getting us through the first x

  14. Sully is a very large Dogue to Bordeaux who before the 1-2-1 and foloowing beginner classes walked all over me and I was often found being walked all over the chase by him. Sully is now by no means perfect but we have made a 100% improvement, he walks on the lead by my side and responds to commands. Darren and Jools patience is overwhelming as Sully is very stubbon and I was a big softy with him. They go above and beyond to ensure you get the most out of the classes and out of your dog!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to everyone at the K9 Club, you have made our lives a lot easier!

  15. We started puppy training on a Friday night back in October, With a very lively Louie our cocker spaniel, my partner Matt and I decided to do the class together for consistency (how wrong were we!)

After a couple of weeks it was noticed that Louie had no respect for me, and was all Matt. The trainers have been fantastic, so easy to talk to, no question is a silly question often having experienced a problem themselves, and no end of help has been given to us - to the point of Darren standing in the middle of a freezing car park, helping us to walk Louie while Jules continued with the class inside.

I have just finished my 3rd run with them, not because they said I needed too, because it was best for me and Louie, I did the last run by myself without Matt after advise from Darren and Jules, and what a difference, now Louie will do MOST things for me, and although is very lively still, he is so much better in the house and on walks.

I want to thank the club for all your help and support, to which I know I can call on anytime if it is needed.

Thank you so much, Kelly & Louie x

  16. When we started the Puppy Training on Wednesday nights I have to admit I didn't think it would work. Buffy is so excitable & bouncy & she never used to listen much to me. The 1st session I went to she just dragged me around & I couldn't concentrate on what the trainers were telling us to do!! I found that working hard at the homework sheet they gave us every week helped so much & my confidence grew each time Buffy improved. We are now looking forward to starting the Novice class next Friday & hoping we can improve a lot more. Thanks to everyone at K9.

    Kerrie & Buffy

  17. We have been attending the puppy classes with Bailey on a Wednesday. Although Bailey doesnt always show interest in the class, we have found a great improvement with him at home & at our families homes.

Bailey is our first dog & everyone at K9 has been so helpfull, training us as well as Bailey, I think we were more difficult than him!!

If you are reading this thinking is it for me, are they any good, then the answer is they are the best, sign up you wont regret it.

We will be continuing our journey with Bailey & K9.

  18. Have to agree with Tony, The christmas party was brill. and thanks so much for the goody bags , the pooches loved em.

    Sarah & Fredie xxx

  19. The Christmas party was fantastic. We cannot wait until next year.

  21. What can I say but FAB :o) We’ve been attending the training classes for a few weeks and we always enjoy our time there. The trainers are patient and always have the time to give help and advice when needed, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. If you want to train your dog in a relaxed, enjoyable and fun atmosphere then this is the place to be. Thanks for all your help guys :o)

  22. :) The wednesday night at the club is fantastic great job.

You are all great dog trainers.

  23. steve and ozzy . This is the first time i have ever been to dog training classes and realy didnt expect to enjoy it as much as i have, but most importantly how much ozzy enjoys it to .the classes are relaxed fun and the dogs realy do learn, and that is down to the trainers and there methods .What comes across is they care for there dogs and the dogs they train, always on hand to give adviceif needed. I will not hesitate to endorse this club to any dog owner who wants to train there dog and have fun doing it.

keep up the good work guys.

  24. Gypsy and i are now in our 4th week at K9. We both love it and are having great fun, learning loads through work and play.

We have been teaching Loxy (my younger dog) all the games and exercises at home, and we are all coming on in leaps and bounds.

We would recomend K9 to anyone, it's fab, you should give it a try.

    Thankyou K9

  25. Daz and Jewls

It's nice to see that you are doing so well.

We wish you every success, you both deserve it.

    With all our Love

    David and Glenys.

  26. A well designed website with lots of factual information.

Good luck with your future classes.

  27. very good

  28. very nice site that is easy to navigate around. The training classes are well thought out, with dog and handlers ability taken into consideration. We attend classes with our puppy & she loves every minute of it.

  29. Hi Jewls & Darren,

Excellent site, and for all you thinking of giving the training class a go, You won't be disapointed, Ive attended all the classes with one or another of my pooches and all have done very well,

Keep up the hard work , and good luck in the future with Cody .xxxx

Sarah & all at Melaisey .

  30. Having attended the training classes I can hand on heart say that both trainers are kind patient yet very professional.

The results are there to see for all.

They have large breeds themselves so arent so prejudiced to not take the time to help large breed dog owners as well as the smaller dogs.

Good Luck in your new venture.

Love to the dogs and keep up the show wins.

Crufts 2009 here Cody and Jewls come.
